Intergenerational meetings

Vicky from Be Well CIC has organised for our school to work alongside our local care home 'Regency Hall'. Our Reception children rotate on a fortnightly basis and interact with the residents for numerous different art and craft activities. This has been said to not only benefit the older generation but also the younger, as they can learn from example. The children have recently made baubles not only for themselves but also for the residents, filled with chocolate and a New Year's message. The residents were so grateful for these little gifts and some even shed a tear that they had been given to them. Our Reception children returned as a full class before Christmas to share their Nativity songs with the residents. We can't wait to see what is in store for our spring meetings.
